DESCRIPTION

Our premium mid-calf alpaca crew sock, engineered for all-day comfort on the trail, in work boots, or around town. With a market-leading alpaca fibre content, it delivers the natural performance of alpaca in a durable, shape-holding knit that outperforms ordinary wool socks.

Why alpaca?

  • Naturally temperature-regulating — hollow-core fibres trap warmth in the cold and release heat when it's warm, so feet never overheat.
  • Moisture-wicking — pulls sweat away from the skin to keep feet dry and help prevent blisters on long days.
  • Odour-resistant — naturally antimicrobial, so socks stay fresh even after hours of wear.
  • Hypoallergenic & itch-free — lanolin-free alpaca is kind to sensitive skin, with none of the itch of sheep's wool.
  • Lightweight warmth — serious insulation without the bulk, fitting comfortably in boots, trainers, and everyday shoes.

Made in Portugal — England's oldest ally

The alpaca crew sock is crafted in Portugal, the United Kingdom's longest-serving military ally. The Anglo-Portuguese Alliance, sealed by the Treaty of Windsor in 1386, is the oldest active alliance in the world — over six centuries of friendship between two seafaring nations. A bond that old is worth weaving into every pair.

FAQS

Where are these socks made?
The alpaca crew sock is crafted in Portugal, the United Kingdom's longest-serving military ally – the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance has held since the Treaty of Windsor in 1386, and Portuguese mills bring centuries of fine-knitting craft to every pair.

What's the sock made from?
74% alpaca and 26% nylon, engineered for a durable, shape-holding knit that keeps its form on the trail, in work boots, or around town.

Are they good for long days on your feet?
Yes – the moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating fibre helps prevent blisters and keeps feet dry whether you're hiking, working, or just on your feet all day.

Will they lose their shape after washing?
No. The nylon content and shape-holding knit are designed to keep the crew sock's fit consistent wash after wash, provided you follow the care guidance above.

I'm between sizes – what should I do?
Size up for a more relaxed fit, or size down for a snugger one. See our Sizing tab above for the full UK size breakdown.

Do they need washing after every wear?
Not necessarily – alpaca is naturally odour-resistant, so you can get several wears out of a pair before it needs a wash.
